In the 1960s, a Westerner, captivated by the unfamiliar flavors and culture he encountered in Japan, brought back a single map.

Framed with ship materials steeped in memories of the voyage, the map became a clue for sharing his story with friends.

Etched into it are memories of his experiences in Japan—and a record of his journey to trace the roots of those flavors.

1960年代、ある欧米人が日本で出会った未知の味と文化に魅せられ、一枚の地図を持ち帰った。

その地図は、航海の思い出が染み込んだ船の部材で額装され、仲間たちに語るための手がかりとなった。

そこには、日本での体験の記憶と、味のルーツをたどる旅の記録が刻まれている。
