Founded on Kikai Island in 2021, Kikai Distillery is a Japanese rum distillery that makes the most of the island’s local ingredients and unique terroir.

Drawing on distillation expertise from Cognac producer Paul Giraud, the distillery pursues a style of rum that can only be made on Kikai Island.

“Hitotose” was the first release from Kikai Rum, matured for 20 months in first-fill bourbon barrels.

With more and more Japanese rums emerging today, this bottle stands out for a profile that feels particularly reminiscent of rums from overseas. Highly recommended.

An orange-flavored vodka from Gordon’s, one of the world’s best-known gin brands.

Although Gordon’s is most strongly associated with gin, the brand also offered a wide range of vodkas in the United States.

It is said to be made from a 100% grain-based neutral spirit and flavored with orange essence derived from ingredients sourced from the West Indies.

This bottle was available on the U.S. market from the late 1990s to the early 2000s.

At a relatively light 30% ABV, it is also recommended enjoyed mixed or in a long drink.

Production is now gradually being relocated to Tankyu Distillery in Higashikawa, Hokkaido.

Made with 13 botanicals, including white champaca, 15-year-aged dried tangerine peel, Longjing tea, angelica, and sandalwood, it captures the aromas and culture of Hong Kong in a single bottle.

Created in 1889, Suze is an iconic French aperitif made with gentian, one of France’s best-known bitter botanicals.

It is made from the roots of yellow gentian growing in the Alps and the Massif Central, giving the spirit its pleasantly bitter character.

Suze came under Pernod in 1965, making bottles from this period particularly interesting examples from around the time of that transition.

Unusually for an herbal aperitif, this older bottling has a gentler bitterness than the modern version, with a rounder and softer overall profile.

Famously depicted in one of Picasso’s collage works, Suze is a bottle that has come to symbolize a part of 20th-century French culture.

今回も Cocktail Bar Raven × ちゃぶ屋 × Brandy Daddy のコラボレーションです。

今回は、ピノー・デ・シャラントをはじめ、希少なフロック・ド・ガスコーニュも加わり、約24種類をご用意。国内流通量が少なく、普段はなかなか飲み比べることのできないヴァン・ド・リキュールを一度に楽しめます。
1杯20mlずつのオーダー制なので、気になる銘柄を少しずつ自由に飲み比べられるのも魅力です。

ヴァン・ド・リキュールは、ブランデーと果汁を組み合わせて造られるフランス伝統のお酒。ブランデーの芳醇さと果実の瑞々しさが調和した、一度知ると虜になる奥深い世界が広がっています。
