Bar STRAF is the street bar of the homonym design hotel opened in 2004 in the heart of Milan, interior designed by Arch. The bar echoes the basic materials used inside the hotel, such as concrete walls and floor, but here Vincenzo De Cotiis has created a sort of spatial overwriting by using a hyper-decorative style. Recycled second hand pieces, like the large, apple green Plexiglas chandelier fro

m the 70’s, the stools, and the brown leather patchwork sofa, combine with specially created pieces, like the huge pictures silk-screened on metal and the counter situated directly across the entrance, the only brand new element in the furnishings. The bar seeks to convey a concept that brings us back to essentials and to art, where everyday life blends with the future. Eclecticism characterizes the happy hour, proposing internationally inspired dj sets, live music and special events. There is a constant vibe in the atmosphere of bar STRAF making it pleasant and lively also for a light lunch during the week or a Sunday brunch in the shade of the Duomo cathedral. Always keeping with the objective of stimulating each person and making everyone feel at home and free to express their personality.
