The deep rooted longing and initiative of five members, of upper chandmari, kohima led to formation of FIVE STAR with the main objective of enhancing cultural activities amongst the gorkha community of its jurisdiction. With the passage of time and social development,the following members of the upper chandmari kohima,deliberated on reformation of the "FIVE STAR" and subsequently re-formed with new name as VIVELA HOUSE on 7th April 1975.

Though the VIVELA HOUSE was still in its infancy, it name had change to VIVELA CLUB with one voice of the members.
