Secretly tucked away in Dublin city centre, there is a cocktail bar known for the quality and artistry of its cocktails that truly evokes the mood of a 1920's speakeasy — The Blind Pig. Named after the police who turned a blind eye to the liquor rooms of the 1920s prohibition era, The Blind Pig launched as a pop-up Speakeasy bar that featured monthly, in secret, at different well-known venues arou

nd Dublin. Since then, The Blind Pig has developed an affectionate fanbase in both Ireland and abroad. The Blind Pig will tantalise the taste buds of cocktail lovers seven days a week. Open 6pm-12am Monday through Thursday and Sunday and from 5pm 'til late Friday and Saturday. Experience the forgotten thrill of secret passwords, false storefronts and just a touch of lawlessness. Follow the clues and the instructions in the confirmation email on how to find us. Once you do, be sure to keep it a secret, so shush! Please email [email protected] requesting to see the Blind Pig at a particular time. You will then receive instructions on the location, which is less than a 5-minute walk from Trinity College, Dublin 2. This afternoon, we were pleased to welcome Tánaiste Simon Harris, alongside Ministers Norma Foley and Peter Burke, to Cafe Presse for lunch ahead of the hospitality VAT rate returning to 9% from midnight.

For restaurants, cafés and hospitality businesses across Ireland, this is a welcome and much-needed change. With rising costs and continued pressure on the industry, this marks an important step in helping businesses continue to do what they do best.

We’re grateful for the visit and the opportunity to discuss the future of hospitality, alongside The Restaurant Association of Ireland.

This year, we’re sitting this one out.

The good news? Our bottled cocktails are still very much on the menu.
