Bottling Day! Liquid gold from our barrels. The Palwana has been in the barrel for 2 1/2 years, the Marigold Tequila has rested (“reposado”) only 2 months. Very different but both equally smooth. The Reposado is available now, the Palwana will rest a little more until we open our Arak Cellar. More info coming soon! Welcome back to the Klub! .arak .spirits

First ever tequila produced in Indonesia, and now we’re starting our first batch of Reposado. One of our Whisky barrels just became available - perfect timing for this experiment. 4,5 liters of pure gold resting for the next six months. Let’s see if we can muster up enough patience to wait that long. Welcome back to Klub Kembali, where we put the craft in craft cocktail.

Bringing you an ever growing selection of Indonesian spirits and ingredients - only at Klub Kembali. Today we received the first batch of commercially produced bitters from in Surabaya. Already added to one beloved cocktail, we can now work on our recipes to tweak, improve and create. With so many flavors to choose from that’ll be a fun (and somewhat tipsy) exercise. Let me know if you want to join, when we welcome you back to Klub Kembali!

PS.: It’s rainy season here, so the water drops on the table and bottles are part of the real experience, not AI.

Spirits of Indonesia Part 2: At Klub Kembali we have one of the most extensive collections of Arak, produced by passionate crafts people in Bali, Flores and Sulawesi. Once a cautionary tale, now (legal) arak is produced with high quality standards and can rival many international spirits. From traditional palm sap to unique fruit and even sweet potato as a base for the products, you’re guaranteed to find one you love.

Think about reading that old book that’s been sitting on your shelf forever, a candle shining a soft warm glow. Now add the perfect companion in a glass to make the experience complete. Our “Old Book” martini is exactly that. It’s made by infusing Palwana Arak with pages from an 80-year old adventure novel, a little simple syrup and Kaja Gin. Shaken until it’s almost frozen, it’s an experience like none other. What book will you read when you have your first sip?

Today marks the beginning of our craziest experiment yet. Inspired by fellow mixologist we’re infusing Palwana Arak with pages from an old book. Have you ever picked up an old book and smelled it? Not a musty, moldy one but a nicely aged dry book - they smell a little of chocolate, vanilla and old stories. Our pages are from a 90-year old young adult adventure book. We’ll see if you can taste the stories in the arak… welcome back to Klub Kembali, your place of storied hospitality and innovation.

Two amazing cocktails from our current specials: Paperplane, a classic cocktail, made with Indonesian Bourbon and homemade Amaro, Aperol and lemon juice. Rosebud is made by infusing Karusotju 38 and 25 with rosehip and rosella, and adding Cocchi Americano and lemon juice. Both cocktails, although very different, deliver a perfect balance of sour, bitter and sweet - you’ll want to order a second one straight away!
