Jakarta DJ General Rie’s authentic dub record box is equally heavyweight. Ukrainian DJ Anna Hotel’nikova aka Hanna returns to Klymax with more bold, bright and beautiful tunes. Astra Sound Collective founder ILNEJ rounds things out with her dreamy breakbeats.

Stalwarts of the Japanese scene, Rainbow Disco Club made their name through their idyllic countryside festival, before taking the vibe to the world. This Friday they return to Klymax for another dream session in the discotheque with Monkey Timers (JP), Dita and Gero. Bright, playful, and groovy cosmic disco: balearic beats, dubby grooves, funk, and deep house to carry you through the night.

This Friday, Jakarta club night and record label Dekadenz return to the discotheque for an evening of machine beats, leftfield heaters and culture from all corners. Known for their eclectic collections and hypnotic selections, crew members Aditya Permana, Jonathan Kusuma, and Ridwan are a heavy DJ trio. From dubby post-punk and proto-house, to oddball disco and industrial techno, expect and respect the unexpected when Dekadenz is in the booth.

A playful ride through the dreamy and hypnotic sides of dance music when friends from Southeast Asia and Oceania reunite on Saturday night. Playfully psychedelic, Nice Girl’s cosmic productions and trippy DJ sets have seen her release multiple records through Munich’s Public Possession and wow dancefloors from Melbourne to Berlin. Klmax regulars Dita and Kiwed keep it equally contagious with breezy, borderless blends, hard-edged rhythms and raw textures.

As the island enters the peak of the dry season, we welcome clear blue skies, warm sunny days, and golden sunsets. August arrives with an energy that can only be matched by gathering to make unforgettable memories.

We begin the month celebrating the Balearic house and techno with three cosmic selectors who play for the drifters and dreamers: Rocco Universal, Cloud of Kouros, and Seabass.

Jakarta’s Dekadenz return to the discotheque with machine beats and leftfield heaters from Aditya Permana, Jonathan Kusuma, and Ridwan. Then, direct from Melbourne, Nice Girl arrives, taking a playfully psychedelic approach to dance music, alongside Dita and Kiwed

Rainbow Disco Club return to Klymax with Monkey Timers (JP), Dita and Gero. Expect deep disco and dubby grooves. The next night, it’s all about basslines, breakbeats, and house as Excelent, General Rie, Hanna and ILNEJ enter the booth.

For the last weekend of the month, Berlin culture crew Toy Tonics bring their dancefloor mischief, funk-fuelled elegance, and vintage grooves to the discotheque. The next night, we move our bodies under the disco ball to eclectic, energising selections from Danny and Mislav.

This Saturday, Klymax hosts a meeting of two dancefloor lifers who’ve built their sound from opposite corners of the world. Karussell Records founder Dan.B brings his Australia-honed range across deep, soulful, tech and minimal house, the kind of dynamic selecting that’s won over crowds from Europe to Asia. IAAM, the Spanish curator now based in Bali, answers with a language he’s spoken since finding a Mallorca record store at 14: European disco, house, techno and dub, filtered through the spaces he builds for underground music back home. Two records collections, one thread of house music devotion.
