More than a playlist. A collection. At West Garden Lane, we believe the music should be as layered as the drink in your hand. We don’t just press ‘play’—we curate a journey through analog texture, one record at a time.
Our Sound:
Our shelves are built on a specific tension between nostalgia and atmosphere:
The Foundations: We start with the roots of City Pop, like Happy End (1973). Often called the ‘Beatles of Japan,’ they were the architects of a new sound—blending Japanese lyrics with Western folk-rock. It’s music that is laid back and easy to listen to, yet carries a hidden strength and instrumental tension that makes it the perfect “low-light” soundtrack.
The Texture: We lean deep into Post-Rock. These are the cinematic, textured tracks that fill the room with soundscapes you can almost feel—pure atmosphere for the late-night hours.
The Mood: Mixed with moody, classic Hong Kong Pop gems that bring a sense of home and history to the night.
The Collection Journey:
Building this library is a never-ending hunt through crates across the globe. We’re documenting every rare find and the stories behind the “First Spin” over at our dedicated sub-page: .
Whether you’re here to get lost in the texture of a record or just to enjoy a clear-ice cocktail, the needle drops at 6PM.
