Whiskey Flight Set

S Group – Special Offer to Whisky Fans, in the month of March, we’ll bring you Balvenie 12, 14, 17 years. For just $330, you’ll get to taste all 3 range.

The Balvenie DoubleWood 12 Years gains its distinctive character from being matured in two wood types. Over the period of maturation it is transferred from a traditional oak whisky cask to a first fill European oak sherry cask. Each stage lends different qualities to the resulting single malt ~ the traditional casks soften and add character, whilst the sherry wood brings depth and fullness of flavour.

The Balvenie Caribbean Cask 14 Years has been matured in traditional oak whisky casks for 14 years, and then ‘finished’ in casks that previously held Caribbean rum. When the casks are ready, the rum was replaced with the 14 year old spirit and the wood was put to work adding the final touches. The result is an exceptional single malt whisky with the traditional smooth, honeyed character of The Balvenie, married with notes of toffee and a hint of fruit, with a warm, lingering finish.

The Balvenie DoubleWood 17 Years is an upgrade version of the popular DoubleWood 12 Years, this new aged version shares the same DNA and the honeyed, spicy characteristics as the 12 Year Old, but it is distinctly different, with deeper vanilla notes, hints of green apple, creamy toffee and a striking richness and complexity.

The Balvenie DoubleWood 12 Years特點係在成熟期間﹐由傳統的波本橡木桶移置西班牙雪莉橡木桶陳年﹐令該酒口感順滑和厚重﹐充滿了香甜水果、蜂蜜、香草和雪莉酒香氣。

The Balvenie Caribbean Cask 14 Years係成熟期間移置Rum桶製成﹐帶著熱帶水果及香料香氣﹐口感濃厚圓滑﹐有著複雜的太妃糖味道。

The Balvenie DoubleWood 17 Years係12 years的升級版﹐經過相同方式陳年後﹐不同尋常地將酒移至經燻焙燒烤的美國新橡木桶中熟成四個月。新橡木桶為該酒帶來了明顯的煙燻味﹐而且提升了蜂蜜的芳香和香草味﹐餘韻香甜辛辣及隱約的堅果口感。
