Two nights to go. Two more nights of the good stuff.

Don't forget. Tomorrow, that's Monday the 30th, is our very last night on Karytsi square. After that, we're out, we're gone. So come on down, help us empty our bottles and have an early new year's party.

Well this is it. Monday the 30th is going to be our last stand on Karytsi square. Our last shift. Our last night.

An all-star cast of bar staff, servers and djs will be waiting for you as we finally say "goodbye and see you on the flip side".

The dynamic female duo behind Difford's Guide Greece are saying their goodbyes to our Karytsi home this evening and want to invite you all down, so you can have your drinks and take part in a worthwhile cause.

Two euros from every drink bought will be donated to support The Society For The Care Of Minors (www.sman-athens.org), so please, make some time and come on down!

Many thanks to Denny Kallivoka and Eleni Nikoloulia for tonight's effort but also for their continued support throughout our stay at Karytsi square.

Once upon a time, we ran a Johnny Cash night once a year. Celebrating all things Cash, his songs, his stylings, his unique way of finding common ground between country music and good ol' rock n roll.

It seems fitting then, that we host one more Johnny Cash night before the end of the Joint's run on Karytsi square.

This coming Sunday we're going to be getting rhythm, with Manos Karakatsanis and Gerard Papasimakopoulos selecting the Cash-y tunes. Don't forget your drinking boots!

- I remember a time when I didn't really think about what I drank. It was just a fast way to a good time. Or a good way to a fast time. Both seemed to fit I guess.
- Then what happened?
- Well, one day I rested my chin on the bar, like someone was about to tell me a story and I watched the bubbles fizz.
- And?
- And I took a deep breath.
- Yeah, I guess that would do it.

Well, it’s been a ride. Nine years of serving you the best darn gins we could get our hands on, slinging bottles, mixing drinks and keeping it in the neighborhood.

But we guess it’s about that time. Time we left our little drinking hole on Karytsi square and looked for pastures new. Time we waved goodbye. Or maybe just said, see you all again soon.

So, boys and girls, girls and boys. December will be our last month of drinks and spills. Just before we switch over to 2020, The Gin Joint will be inviting you all down for one last “hurrah”, one final night of revelry.

Until then, you can be damn sure we’ll be staying gin-y, ice-y and joint-y, serving you all our classics, all our favorites and a few more surprises besides.

The Gin Joint will be moving out in style. Come join us throughout December and wave us on towards our next adventure.
