With heavy hearts we wanted to share that Plush Café will be closing its doors in the coming days.
This wasn’t an easy decision, but it’s one that comes with love, reflection, and a huge swirl of gratitude. Over the years, Plush has been more than just a café - it’s been a dream, a safe space, a flamingo-splashed madhouse, and a place where memories were made (and occasionally forgotten after bottomless cocktails and staff parties 😅).
However, like so many small independent businesses right now, we’ve been navigating rising costs, economic instability, and an environment that’s becoming increasingly unsustainable for venues like ours. Despite giving it everything - and then some - it’s simply no longer viable to keep going.
We know some of you may have seen the “To Let” sign go up - it was a bit earlier than expected, but we wanted to speak to you directly, before the rumour mill gets going.
To everyone who’s supported us: thank you. Truly. You’ve meant the world to us - especially during the tough bits. We’ve made some of the best friends imaginable here, laughed until we’ve cried, and cried until we’ve laughed. Knowing how special Plush has been to our customers & team too brings a little ray of sunshine into the current doom & gloom! 🌈🌞
We’re working hard behind the scenes to contact everyone who has upcoming bookings, and to make sure you’re looked after. If we haven’t reached you yet, we will very soon.
We’ll be open for just a few more days, so if you fancy one last visit, a goodbye hug, or a final flamingo selfie - now’s the time. Our retail stock is also all at half price (just in time for Father’s Day last minute gifts!).
We’ll miss our customers, our incredible team, the ghosts, and the cake. We won’t miss the stairs. ✨
