Last workshop of the year coming up on Sunday 29th Nov, 2-4pm. We'll be having the usual fun and games, putting our brains and pens to work and experimenting with ways to end our stories to leave the reader entranced. Wow that came round quickly! - our next workshop is next SATURDAY, 17th October from 2-4pm. We'll be looking at the action in the middle of a story, using cartoons to help us develop great storylines and keep our readers gripped. Back to school time, be it Hogwarts, Malory Towers, or Miss Cackle's Academy for Witches (or just a Gloucestershire primary!). Another lovely, lively session today: we crafted automatic-character-generators, wore fancy dress to conjure up ideas, pondered Captain Hook's darkest secrets, and questioned what else might be hidden in Mr Twit's beard. And the children had certainly brought their imaginations with them...magic hamsters, bloody-thirsty penpals, inquisitive clones, abominable snowmen with secrets to tell, and someone living inside an acorn inside a radiator, so that he didn't get trodden on! Two hours full of their fantastic ideas - roll on 27th June!
