This is the mid point between summer solstice & autumn equinox, where we celebrate the start of harvest season.

One of the only edibles around at this time that prefers cold temperatures.

Picked, cleaned, chopped and sautéed in butter and garlic.

Found in Borsdane Woods growing on deciduous deadwood.

Delicious 😋

⚠️never consume any species you're not 100% certain about. I spent at least 20 minutes reading up in books on this mushroom, looking at its cap, stem and gills, watching videos etc. Before I was fully confident to go ahead and eat it.
