Hi Guys and Gals, sad to say Resistance at Twisted Monkey has been cancelled. Over the last few weeks we've been struggling to get enough people in to keep it going and the owner of the venue has decided we can't continue. After putting everything I have into the nights and seeing the direction things are going I gotta say I have to agree with him.
Scott the venue manager and all the staff have been fantastic and extremely supportive. It has been a true pleasure working with them and I feel honoured to be given the opportunity to play the music I love in such an awesome venue.
Massive thanks to Katie, Laurissa and Rhianne for all your help.
Huge thanks to everyone that has come and supported our nights over the past 9 years. You Rock !
I'm not going to say this is the end of the road for Resistance because as anyone that has followed us for any length of time will know, we seem to have a habit of popping back up and it wouldn't surprise me if we did at some point in the future.
Keep supporting local events and live music. To anyone interested in putting on gigs and events JUST DO IT !!!! We need them to keep our venues, our towns and communities alive.
And please Remember people that no matter who you are and what you do to live, thrive and survive there are still some things that make us all the same...
