Hello! It's me! I'm alive, I've just been AWOL. The whole covid thing left me with a real conundrum about how to run this group. I still want to be useful and supportive to local parents but I don't know how to quite make that work these days as our lives have changed a lot. tagged me in a pic of a tasty looking grazing table the other day as it reminded her of the one at the Xmas party The Happy Mumdays had just before covid and it got me thinking.....is this something you'd fancy? Do us Mum's (in all our shapes and forms) need a night out in a safe space?

We loved being part of the test run session today. Jenny did a fantastic track of setting up a really cool track ready for when we arrived but also encouraged the kids to create their own tracks and explore the equipment. Would definitely recommend this as an activity for those with train obsessed little ones or even those that aren't that fussed about trains. Bear (just turned 8) loves trains but Bunni (5) isn't as interested, however she absolutely loved this session and the freedom it allowed.

First pile of washing for Little Green Sock Project - there's lots of ways you can help this new charity if you want to. Check out their page for more info or contact Cat and let her know what skills you have. From ironing to fundraising, social media to electrician. There's lots to be done.

Helloooo! I'm back! Did you miss me? It's been a long while since I last posted. Around 6 months. I was struggling to make The Happy Mumdays work at a time when it seemed difficult to actually meet. I wasn't willing to expose anyone to covid and have people becoming poorly on my conscience. But I am still here. Still open to chat if you are lonely. Still wondering how I can help the Mums and Dad's of Manchester.

Important update!
Tomorrow's meeting is looking like a bit of a washout. The park will be soggy and wet and not fun so I'm postponing until Monday 15th. I can't believe I'm having to do this again but I want to keep the meet-up outside for those who aren't double jabbed/immuno-compromised/have anxiety about being indoors at the moment. So, in the meantime, keep on, keeping on.

Hey babes! It's been a while but with restrictions lifting and the weather improving, I thought it was time we should meet up.

How does a picnic on Monday 9th August at Flixton Fields sound?

Every parent/carer/guardian is invited and kids of all ages too.

I heartily encourage you to bring footballs, bags, blankets, picnic goodies and a couple of gins in a tin. If there's enough of us I might even be able to arrange some sort of ice cream drop off.
