I don’t know what to tell you...
It’s warm.
You might have noticed.
If not, somebody has almost certainly told you. Repeatedly.
I genuinely can’t remember a time in recent history where every single conversation has been dominated by exactly the same subject quite as much as this week.
How are you?
Warm.
Been up to much?
Sweating.
Any plans for the weekend?
Trying not to burst into flames.
I’m pretty sure that if the deity themselves had appeared this week, descended from the heavens and revealed the meaning of life, the universe and everything, the first response would have been:
“Yeah that's great mate, but can you turn the thermostat down a bit?”
Fear not though, followers of the Sin Savers message, for I come bearing good news.
Swansea is about to become cooler.
Not because Snoop Dogg is coming back to town.
Not because I’ve finally decided to try an Iced Matcha. (Absolutely not. Behave.)
But because the actual outside temperature is about to drop.
By the time we open tonight, Swansea will be at least ten degrees cooler than it has been this week.
The Terrace will go from being my own personal sauna to a sunset soaked paradise where you can sit with a cold drink and watch the last rays of sunlight disappear across Swansea.
Frankly, I’m excited to turn back into a person after three days spent existing as a rather large and somewhat cumbersome water feature.
And so tonight, I invite you to Summer Sin Savers.
A place where a quick toe tap swiftly becomes an all out mosh.
A place where the people leaving Swansea, the people staying for summer, and the people who never quite managed to leave at all, can find their own kind.
A place where the beer flows cold, the terrace air blows cool, and Thursday night still means something.
That place is Summer Sin Savers.
It always has been, and it always will be, exactly where you're supposed to be on a Thursday night.
I look forward to seeing you.
