Queertawe Fringe is happening 5th to 8th December and is an incredible 4-day celebration of q***rness, past and present, in Swansea. The team and community members have worked so hard over the last year to bring you a collection of diverse and creative events, and we can't wait! 🏳️‍🌈🤩🏳️‍⚧️

Friday 6th December will be a q***r prom cabaret! Our original PYNK nights were the inspiration for this (we are getting emotional here 🥹). So please get your tickets and show all the performers and organisers your big gay support. We will be there in our friday finest to dance the night away with you 💃🕺

Just 24 hours until we celebrate the last ever PYNK with you, and what better way to do it than with a after party!

Doors open at 8pm, and we have a jam-packed night of performances from , and a few from our host, the incredible . Then we will hand over to , Swansea's q***r women DJ collective, to have us dancing until the early hours (we finish up at 2am!)

💖 PYNK PRIDE 2024 💖

We are thrilled to introduce your host for PYNK Pride 2024, the incredible ❤️‍🔥

Rahim EL Habachi is Playwright, Actor, bellydancer and Activist, in short Artivist, originally from Morocco he merges his Moroccan culture with a western flare to create his work. He is a strong advocate for creating spaces and opportunities for creatives from a wide range of backgrounds. Rahim was the Creative Associate with National Theatre Wales. In this role he has most recently co-developed work with Fuel Theatre entitled Fly The Flag; exploring the meaning of protest with young people from underrepresented communities in Pembrokeshire. He is also the co-creator of the LGBTQAI+ platform for new writing Out-Rage-Us, bringing together NTW, Sherman Theatre, Glitter Cymru and Pride Cymru to place particular focus on those voices which are seen less frequently on our stage, such as those from the global majority and the trans communities.

Through Glitter Cymru Rahim is advocating for safe housing for LGBTIQ+ asylum Seekers, he is also part of the expert panel.

Rahim will be hosting you for an evening of singing, dancing and q***r joy, alongside and , followed up by Swansea DJ collective taking us through to 2am 💋

❤️ Esther Parade is Cardiff's hairiest lairiest drag artist, who rose to prominence in 2022 when she won the UK Drag Idol heats at Mary's, representing Cardiff in the National Semi finals that year. Known for her signature style of chaotic and charismatic performance, Esther promises a theatrical blend of old Hollywood, q***r joy and mostly a camp ol' time!

We are sad to say that this Friday and Pride will be our final PYNK events. It has been a privilege partying with the q***rs of Swansea for over 2 years, but we no longer have the time between us to make PYNK happen.

We’ll be down at Elysium this Friday with the incredible Justin Drag, 8pm £5 otd, there’s no PYNK in April, and then our final PYNK will be a Pride party even bigger than last year’s, we can’t wait!

We are so sad to say goodbye to PYNK and hope to see you all again at the q***r events of Swansea. We really encourage anyone who is interested in holding new q***r events to go for it; it is so needed in Swansea and we are happy to offer advice and support.

Thanks to Elysium for their consistent support, and to Grace Wolfe for being our amazing resident DJ (find her at XX Swansea events). And thank you to all of you, our wonderful community, for making PYNK what it is. We look forward to dancing with you all this Friday and for Pride.

We've have lost count of the 100s of murdered Palestinian children we have seen on here. And there are 1000s more. Dead babies being kissed on the eyelids by their grieving relatives, with nowhere to be buried.

We've watched hospitals being bombed in Gaza, power being cut to babies incubators, amputations being done without anaesthesia, there are no more places of safety in Gaza.

We follow accounts of people in Gaza, press and journalists who, if they are still alive, continue to be censored so their messages are hidden from the world.

Just 24 hours after the 4 day ceasefire ended, over 1000 palestinian people were murdered by Israel.

We see the media, governments and political leaders skirt around the truth - that this is a genocide and an entire population of people, a culture, a history, a race, is being wiped out in front of our eyes.

Please boycott israel - skip your starbucks, drive past mcdonalds, stop buying israeli products. Join your local rallies and protests. Write to your MPs. Stand with the palestinian people so they know they are not alone. Israel are not stopping so we cannot stop.

This story will be told for centuries to come, please do all you can to be proud of the part you played. ❤️🖤🤍💚

We are heartbroken by the ongoing genocide in Palestine.

It does not feel right to hold a PYNK at this time. Instead, our friends at Swansea Palestine will be holding a solidarity gig on Saturday 11th November, raising funds for Medical Aid in Gaza. We hope to see you all there.

Just 3 more days until our Fright Night! 👻🎃 We are so excited to introduce you to our DJs for the evening!

Kicking off the tunes for the night we have the one and only .drag 💥

Justin Drag is a Cardiff based drag king who’s recently taken up djing while he was recovering from his top surgery revision and had lots of time on his hands.
His love for music has always been there since he was a child and he studied it in school.
Justin loves to mix all genres with one of his favourites Whitfield’s “Saturday night” and Azealia banks “212” - you have to hear it to believe it!
Justin is so excited to DJ at PYNK as it’s such a safe space for q***r people. 🏳️‍🌈🏳️‍⚧️

And of course we will have our incredible resident DJ join us 💦 She has just run her own incredible night ! 💖 Give her a follow to make sure you don't miss the next one!
