We are beyond grateful to everyone who joined us today in celebrating the official opening of Noreen's Recovery Lounge at Fenton Manor Sports Complex! 🌸

A huge thank you to The BAC, Stoke-on-Trent City Council, CDAS, We Are With You, and all our incredible partners for making this dream a reality. Together, we are breaking the stigma around recovery and creating a space where everyone is welcome.

A special shout-out to Vicky Yates and the Lord Mayor for their inspiring words and support today, as well as to our amazing staff members who shared their personal journeys with so much courage and heart.

And to each of you who attended, volunteered, or worked behind the scenes—this wouldn't have been possible without your dedication and belief in our mission.

We are absolutely delighted to be able to tell you that following a recent inspection from the Local Authority Food Safety Officer Noreen’s Recovery Lounge has been awarded a Food Standards Agency 5 Star Food Hygiene Rating.

As you know the Lounge has only been open for 4 weeks and during that time the team have faced the challenge of Fenton Manor’s busiest event of the year that took place the first weekend immediately after opening to the public and which was visited by several thousand spectators and competitors, it had the honour of providing refreshments for all the counters, and the candidates and press during the ballot count on the night of the general election and customers are now starting to use the lounge regularly and spreading the word.

The feedback that we have received has been excellent but receiving this 5 Star Food Hygiene Rating is the icing on the cake for us.

Have you heard the news? Noreen’s Recovery Lounge is now open! The lounge is located at Fenton Manor Sports Complex and provides delicious, healthy and great-value meals and snacks! 🌸

The lounge is named in honour of the late Noreen Oliver MBE, Hon.DLit, the founder of BAC O’Connor. BAC O’Connor and WithYou deliver the Stoke-on-Trent Community Drug and Alcohol Service. And so just like how Noreen was, our lounge will be a safe and supportive space for those in recovery and their families.

Our team at Noreen’s recovery lounge, many of whom have lived experience and are in recovery themselves, are committed to breaking the stigmas around drug and alcohol use and showcasing the incredible potential of those who have completed our programme.

Join us in celebrating recovery, community, and new beginnings.

Stoke-on-Trent’s Community Drug and Alcohol Service (CDAS), which is delivered by BAC O’Connor and WithYou, are delighted to announce the opening of Noreen’s Recovery Lounge!

Our new site, which is based at Fenton Manor Sports Complex, is open to anyone and everyone:

● Thursday and Friday: 10am - 8pm
● Saturday and Sunday: 8.30am - 6.30pm

Providing freshly cooked, healthy and great value meals like jacket potato, salads, and more. Noreen’s Recovery Lounge is the perfect place to drop into for a bite to eat!! 🌸

But our Lounge is more than that just a place to eat — delivered by CDAS,it’s a beacon of hope and a space for communities to come together and community and embrace recovery. Join us for delicious, healthy meals prepared by our dedicated team, many of whom are in recovery themselves. Let’s break the stigma together and support each other on this journey.
