My friend J Skeptik introduced to me to Al, when we first started to run our riddm dnb gigs back in 2016. Al supported our gigs, even when he wasn’t on the bill - and when he was on the bill, he was always rolled out an incredible set, that was SURE to lift the dance floor with his unique style. The king of bootlegs as I’ve heard refer to him as.

Whilst our riddm crew haven’t put any parties on in a while now, Al was always part of our group and well, we’re going to miss him a lot. Sending out love to his nearest family and friends at this time.

Still processing the news about the legendary MC Conrad passing. THE best memories I’ve had with music have been had with his vocals riding over the top of on the decks. Been reminding my self of memories, and found the artwork for this New Year’s Eve gig, December 1998. I would’ve been 17! It took place at “a secret location”, soon to be revealed as the old Truman Brewery on Brick Lane. Can’t remember how we found the venue details, pre-Internet… Must’ve been a phone number or something. It was an amazing time and I remember been truly moved by the incredible sound of Conrad alongside everyone on the lineup. RIEP Conrad 🙏🏼
