A bar disguised as an exhibition hall for the display of natural curiosities. Selling tickets with a complementary drink to take a peep at the Tiger - evading the law prohibiting the sale of alcohol. Inspired by the bootleggers fuelling the parties of the flapper girls. Expect original, daring and adventurous cocktail creations served up by a team with passion and knowledge. Backed by a playlist full of Vintage blues and gospel with a 21st century shot in the arm. Think juke joint vibes with a modern twist. Operating the old fashioned way, with table service, because you've worked too hard and deserve to put your feet up, so take your seat, get comfy and we'll do the rest. Remember, if anyone asks, you're here to see the Tiger!

So naturally, we're talking about Christmas.

We're teaming up with Blossom & Bloom for two evenings of wreath-making, mulled w**e and pretending we're all incredibly crafty.

Eight weeks in. Still recovering.

At 2am on Sunday 28th June, we closed the doors on Blind Tiger.

By late morning, we were back inside ripping the place apart. Sensible Sunday plans.

After two weeks of building work on the ceiling, we had roughly four weeks to turn what was left into Bark + Bite. While also running a pop-up at The Cats Pyjamas. Because apparently we didn't have enough to do.

And when we say we built this place, we really mean it.

Our landlords helped with the demolition. Mum volunteered for upholstery duties. My cousin joined the final push. Our electrician of over ten years even roped his son into the late nights.

There were plenty of 2am and 3am finishes, a delayed opening, and probably more sawdust than anyone should reasonably inhale.

Eight weeks later, we're open, the dust has settled (mostly), and we're absolutely exhausted.

But we built ourselves a living room. And now you're all making yourselves at home.

Worth every late night.
