Put into context... This line up has not played together for almost 20 years!! That’s how special this event is!❤️🙌

Big thank you to all the lads that signed up to it straight away with no hesitation! They can’t wait for it!

There was a couple of lads that are gutted they couldn’t make it but they’ll be back in the future!

Trying to think of the words to describe how good and how mad this stream is gonna be but I can’t😄.. you’re just gonna have to witness it for yourself!

NICHE SIDNEY STREET 25TH ANNIVERSARY ‘STREAM’

25 years ago, something very special happened..
A nightclub called Nimmos changed its name into what would then become an underground phenomenon that held legendary status all across the U.K.
That name was NICHE!

Owned & built by Steve Baxendale, this venue shaped the way of the underground House & Speed Garage scene that saw clubbers from far and wide queue all the way down Sidney Street just to get inside.

It was the north’s only legal full weekend all nighter. Running from 12am until 10pm every Friday night & 12am-12pm every Saturday!

Year after year it became bigger & bigger. With loyal resident DJ’s that gave everything to make sure it stayed at the forefront of underground music and legendary management, staff & security that everyone remembers just as much as the DJ’s for the jobs they did!

Not forgetting the customers, the hundreds of thousands of you that stepped through those doors!

It was a family, it was a community, it was our NICHE.❤️

The place became more and more legendary and by the year 2005 it grew into a machine. A machine that would be the driving force of the huge Bassline scene that was just around the corner & 2 NO #1 GOLD selling albums that sold almost 300,000 copies between them.🥇🥇

The man behind this great legendary club & global phenomenon STEVE BAXENDALE is no longer with us but his legacy and the name NICHE will forever live on!🙌❤️❤️

This Saturday a line up of the original Sidney Street DJ’s ranging from when it opened its doors to when it closed will be performing live from TANK to celebrate the 25TH ANNIVERSARY since NICHE was born & it will be streamed live straight into your living rooms!🔥🔥🔥

I want to see this post go viral as that’s what it deserves.... THOUSANDS OF LIKES!!!... and once it does, I’ll reveal the full line up!

So if you ever went to Niche, witnessed it with your own eyes, bought a tape, bought an ice pop from upstairs bar, gurned on top dance floor, went mental on the bottom dance floor, fell in love with the Niche sound or even if you just heard about it... you know what to do!

Not to be missed!

The first one was one of the best nights I’ve had in a long time!
6 hour all vinyl set took me way back to how it used to be! Lots of familiar faces, old & new, all there for one thing only... SPEED GARAGE!
The event was a sell out! Feedback was crazy!
In 8 weeks time we do it all again!❤️🙏
This time I’m going for 7 HOURS because 6 hours still wasn’t enough to fit everything in I wanted to!
I’ll be playing as much stuff as I can that you didn’t hear on the first night, all those hidden & forgotten gems from Niche era as well as loads of unheard rare, older & new bits together with everyone’s favourite Old Skool anthems!!

PLEASE READ!

The Dub Factory is now permanently closed at our Walker Street venue.

We want to say a massive thank you to everybody that has supported us at Walker Street, we really do appreciate it.

However, this isn't the end of the story yet. We're relocating to a new Sheffield city centre venue. For all the latest information regarding this move, keep checking the official Dub Factory page.
