Over the past week, our thoughts have been with Shanice Brooks, her family, her friends and everyone whose lives have been affected by this tragic loss.

Shanice was known to many of our staff and customers, and the events of last weekend have deeply affected all of us.

After speaking with Shanice’s family, we have made the decision to close on Friday as a mark of respect and to give our staff and customers the opportunity to reflect and pay their respects.

We will reopen on Saturday and continue to support the ongoing efforts to bring those responsible to justice.

We remain fully supportive of South Yorkshire Police and their investigation and ask that everyone continues to respect Shanice’s loved ones during this incredibly difficult time.

Rest in peace, Shanice. Our thoughts remain with all who knew and loved you. 🤍

We are deeply saddened by the tragic incident that took place in the early hours of Monday morning outside our venue.

Our thoughts and condolences are with the victim’s family, friends, and everyone affected by this devastating event.

Out of respect for the victim and their loved ones, and due to the fact there is an active ongoing police investigation, we will not be making any further public comment at this time.

We are assisting and cooperating fully with South Yorkshire Police with their enquiries. Anyone with information, dashcam footage, photos or videos relating to the incident is encouraged to contact South Yorkshire Police directly, quoting the relevant incident number.(135 of 25th May 2026)

Should it be appropriate to do so at a later stage, and once advised by the police that we are able to comment further, we will provide an additional statement.

Our hearts are with the young woman who lost her life, and with all those grieving this unimaginable loss.
