We're dissapointed to announce that Fewer Than One is having to close.
I'd be the first to admit we've not managed to return this historic venue to it's former glory but many events have conspired against us in seeking this. A pandemic wasn't in the business plan.
Last week our landlords notified us that part of the site is to be developed into flats. I'm sure we can agree we need more of those.
To add to this we have been receiving a swathe of noise complaints from new blocks of flats in the area culminating in a noise abatement order issued last Friday.
Although the site was due to close at the end of both the DLS and Night Kitchen eras, this time it is final and will take immediate effect.
Many thanks to all who helped us along the way.
I'd have fought it if I could but who am I to stand in the way of 'progress'.
