COUNTER ASSISTANT / FRYER WANTED
Hours: 4-7.30,thursday Friday Saturdays (Additional overtime available)

We're seeking an energetic and customer-focused Counter Assistant/ Fryer to join our dynamic food establishment team.
Key Responsibilities:
• Prepare and cook food items according to recipes and food safety standards
• Serve customers in a friendly and professional manner
• Handle cash transactions and operate POS system
• Maintain cleanliness of work area and equipment
• Process customer orders accurately and efficiently
• Stock and rotate inventory

Required Skills:
• Previous experience in food preparation/service (minimum 1 year preferred)
• Strong food safety and hygiene awareness
• Excellent customer service skills
• Good communication and team working abilities
• Basic math skills for cash handling
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
• Physical stamina to stand for extended periods
• Flexibility to work weekends

Desirable:
• Food Safety Certificate
• Previous experience using commercial kitchen equipment
• Basic food preparation knowledge

Lightwaves is coming back to Salford Quays and they need your help to create an outdoor disco!

Stellar Projects are installing a large-scale community disco. The artwork is called Happy as the Day is Long, and for four nights they'll be hosting a silent disco under a huge, dazzling mirrorball.

A big part of the installation is the community playlist that will soundtrack the whole weekend — and that’s where you come in!

DJ Ged Reek delivered last night.

The storm didn't stop Dance Yourself Dizzy, we danced, we laughed, we thanked Ged for all of his amazing support over the last few years.

Like a phoenix, Dizzy will be back on the 20th March 2026. We've got a plan so please get the date in your diary.
