We're incredibly happy that The Wedgewood Rooms will be getting support that they so urgently needed, as well as many other venues across the country.

There are still however many that will be missing out on this help. This is something, but it's still not enough nationally. The campaigns for support of the arts needs to continue, and hopefully we can save as many of our venues as possible!

It's with a great sigh of relief that we can announce The Wedgewood Rooms has been awarded the Arts Council England 😮

This money will enable us to reopen safely while absorbing some of the shock that comes with opening in a COVID secure manner. There's still lots of work to do but with a bit of luck we should be open before the year is over🤞

A massive thank you to the Music Venue Trust for their tireless work and support, ACE for the result we needed, our local representatives for amplifying our voices in places where they're not often heard and everyone who donated to our Crowdfunder at the start of the year. Your support was vital in securing the fund and we still can’t thank you enough 🙏🏻

We're excited by the challenge that lies ahead. Cant wait to get our staff back to work. Can't wait to fire up the PA and blast some music. We're keen to make up for all the months closed and work with our creative community again, we have a space that can be used for all sorts so do get in touch 👋

As long as there are venues and freelancers struggling we will be pushing the and campaigns on our socials. While this money is welcome, the music industry still needs further support if it's to ever return to how it was 😔

This is so important, and the number of amazing venues around the country who have signed this letter is so powerful

We are one of almost 600 grassroots music venues to sign this open letter to the UK Government. Our sector is in dire need of support if we are to see 2021.
