We are getting a lot of messages regarding the QFX night that was cancelled so we just want to clarify that this was an external promoter putting on the event and as they was struggling with ticket sales and was told that the band would not allow them to cancel so we ask if they would like to go 50/50 (NOT FUNDING THE EVENT as we only fund charities) on the event as in we pay half of the cost of the event which was agreed, we assumed going 50/50 on the cost of the event would mean also 50/50 on sales (ticket/door) from the event but was told no it would not be the case as we have our bar and as we did not agree on that the promoter decided to changed the venue last minute from dejavu to another venue and then cancelled the event all together which makes no sense as we could have both taken a small lost but provided a really good night for folks who brought tickets and those willing to pay on the door, we apologise on our part for anyone affected by the cancellation.
