A gentle reminder about Wednesday evenings event, when five local crime writers reflect on their creative impulses.

The format is more conversational than normal, don't expect Powerpoint slides, rather we will experience the cut and thrust of a panel discussion. Think Question Time with better manners.

Have you ever wondered why there is such an enormous quantity of virtual skulduggery, murder and mayhem fictionalised on our city streets? Come along and find out.

Listen to the views of Colin Wade, Steve Lunn, Jacquii John, Jake Lynch and Annabel McGoldrick. Jeremy Allen is on the oche at 7:30pm. Click below, tell all your friends.

Please come along on Wednesday evening to discover some pearls of wisdom about our local river. The stretch between Iffley Lock and Folly Bridge is the birthplace of the rivalry between our fair city and the other place. I guarantee it will give you a fresh insight into this beautiful feature of our neighbourhood. It should be an AONB.

Mark Davies is a veteran stalwart of the local history scene & an engaging speaker. He is an expert on the social history of Oxford with a particular interest in its waterways. The Thames runs through his veins.

It's the only talk this month, so fill your boots and bring your friends.
