Beeston, here’s our opening menu — created by the brilliant Henrik Horvath (formerly of Alora and World Service) and Simon Shardlow (formerly of The Peacock, Rowsley). We’re genuinely excited to have such a talented chef line-up, and Beeston should be too.

We launch this coming Friday. The bar opens from 11.30am and bookings are already looking busy, but there are still a few slots available online. For groups of 8 or more, just drop us an email with your enquiry and we’ll do everything we can to accommodate.

And Sundays just got even better. Our Sunday lunches are something special — Sunday bookings are now open.

✨ Glass Orchid Begins a New Chapter — Introducing Glass & Co. On Friday 20th February !

We’re excited to share that Glass Orchid is expanding into the neighbouring unit and rebranding as Glass & Co.

Our expansion brings a larger, open dining space with a completely refreshed look, designed to elevate Beeston’s food and drink scene.

At the heart of the venue is our new multifunctional bar — perfect for relaxed daytime coffee and laid-back lunches, before transforming into a welcoming spot for afternoon and evening drinks.

Guests can look forward to an Italian-inspired menu focused on fresh, simple, high-quality dishes that celebrate flavour and comfort.

This new chapter also introduces a brand-new kitchen team led by Executive Chef Henrik Horváth (Alora, World Service), working alongside Head Chef Simon Shardlow (formerly of The Peacock at Rowsley). Together, they bring experience, creativity, and a fresh vision to the menu.

We’re recruiting for:
• Experienced Waiting‑On Staff (Restaurant & Bar Floor)�You’ll understand the rhythm of great service, read a table instinctively, and bring a polished yet relaxed style to every guest interaction.
Cocktail‑Trained Bar Staff�You’ll have strong classic cocktail knowledge, excellent technique, and a passion for creating well‑balanced, modern drinks with flair and consistency.

Pay & Benefits:
£12.21–£13.00 per hour
Plus tips paid via a fair and transparent tronc system

The Glass may be closed for its refurb, but our sister venue The Commercial Inn has already blasted those New Year blues into next week and is ready to welcome you in style.

With 10 cask ales, one of Beeston’s biggest draught line-ups, and wholesome, chef-crafted dishes, it’s the perfect place to settle in, warm up, and enjoy some proper hospitality. Pop in and say hello to the team.

A little heads‑up as we head into the New Year…

New Year’s Eve will be our final service before we close for a full refurbishment and expansion. We’ll be bringing in the New Year with food service running until 7pm, followed by a live DJ Adam Jay to help you see in 2026 in style.

It’s a huge moment for us, and we want to say a heartfelt thank you to every guest who’s supported The Glass Orchid — you’ve helped shape something truly special.

January will be all about building what comes next.
And in early February 2026, we’ll be opening our doors once again… this time as Glass & Co.

More details — including our full press release — will be shared in the New Year.
For now, it’s goodbye to The Glass Orchid, and an exciting hello to what’s ahead.
