"Forever Young" is a clubnight in Nottingham (UK) specialising in AOR and melodic/hard rock, brought to you by the same team behind the infamous and massively popular glam & hair-metal club "Wildside". The very first "Forever Young" was held on Saturday 19th October at the Salutation Inn venue (Nottingham) and was a huge success, with the venue hitting capacity very quickly! Featuring DJ Wildside

and Stu Roxx (Wildside clubnight) plus guest DJ Chris Nelson (Phoenix Radio & Firebrand magazine). More events are tentatively planned for 2014 if the demand is there for it and people voice this to us - it is up to YOU to let us know whether you want more or not!

Thank you to everyone who came to Forever Young last night! I hope you all had a good time, let us know what you thought...

For those of you wondering about Forever Young this Saturday...I'm very sorry to report it has been cancelled.

Unfortunately due to an error in the diary the venue used, a double booking happened with an all day festival of bands. Sadly due to the number of bands, logistics and cost involved it won't be possible to reschedule that event. I worked with the venue and they did all they could with me to work something out, however with the number of bands and their schedule going past midnight, we couldn't find any way around this. I'm personally very gutted about this, and I'm very sorry to anyone looking forward to this and had made special arrangements to attend. We (Forever Young) WILL return though!

A bit late in posting this, but a fantastic review of the night we just had to share.....

Well, what can I say? It was always going to be difficult to match the quality of the first two Forever Young's - and you didn't - it was sh*t. No, of course, I jest - another night of sheer brilliance in the capable hands of the awesome Al White with suitable support from Chris Nelson.
Once again you captured the very best that the genre has to offer. A splendid atmosphere created by an awesome group of genuine rockers all to a soundtrack that other rock nights can only dream of. Particular mention (apart from some of my requests early on - cheers Al) was the airing of Hurricane’s ‘I’m On To You’ and Pretty Maid’s ‘Little Drops Of Heaven’ – it was blow your biscuits time at these. Lots of air micing, amazing moves by Adam Whelan and the superb inflatable keyboard work meant it was simply great fun. No bullsh*t, just great fun.
So many thanks to Al and Chris. It is never forgotten how much of your own time goes into entertaining those who want to rock – you are very much appreciated.
Lastly, a cry out to the owners of The Sal. We have just lost the superb Maximum Overdrive Rock Night at the venue – Forever Young has proved that it can pull in the punters and become the stand out AOR/Melodic/Hard Rock night in the UK. While I appreciate that all three nights have been when Firefest and now Rockingham were hosted at Rock City (and it was great to see so many of our European visitors once again), surely now is the time to give it a chance to expand beyond the single date in October.
That’s about it from me. Like Great White’s ‘Rock Me’ I could just go on and on but I will resist. Basically, this is what a rock night should be. Fantastic stuff.
