A bit late in posting this, but a fantastic review of the night we just had to share.....

Well, what can I say? It was always going to be difficult to match the quality of the first two Forever Young's - and you didn't - it was sh*t. No, of course, I jest - another night of sheer brilliance in the capable hands of the awesome Al White with suitable support from Chris Nelson.
Once again you captured the very best that the genre has to offer. A splendid atmosphere created by an awesome group of genuine rockers all to a soundtrack that other rock nights can only dream of. Particular mention (apart from some of my requests early on - cheers Al) was the airing of Hurricane’s ‘I’m On To You’ and Pretty Maid’s ‘Little Drops Of Heaven’ – it was blow your biscuits time at these. Lots of air micing, amazing moves by Adam Whelan and the superb inflatable keyboard work meant it was simply great fun. No bullsh*t, just great fun.
So many thanks to Al and Chris. It is never forgotten how much of your own time goes into entertaining those who want to rock – you are very much appreciated.
Lastly, a cry out to the owners of The Sal. We have just lost the superb Maximum Overdrive Rock Night at the venue – Forever Young has proved that it can pull in the punters and become the stand out AOR/Melodic/Hard Rock night in the UK. While I appreciate that all three nights have been when Firefest and now Rockingham were hosted at Rock City (and it was great to see so many of our European visitors once again), surely now is the time to give it a chance to expand beyond the single date in October.
That’s about it from me. Like Great White’s ‘Rock Me’ I could just go on and on but I will resist. Basically, this is what a rock night should be. Fantastic stuff.
