T40 is a competition to find the best student DJ in Nottingham. Applicants are from Nottingham University and Nottingham Trent and all aspire to be in the music industry in the future. 16 mixes are on Soundcloud for the public to vote for. The top 9 DJs (the mixes that receive the most votes) go through to the semi-finals; 3 separate nights where the contestants have an hour to showcase their ski
lls. Tickets will be in the form of wristbands and to vote on the night persons must rip off the wristband and put it in 1 of 3 boxes, each representing a different DJ. The contestant with the most votes will progress to the final. The winner of the final will receive £200 and be crowned the 2nd T40 winner. The competition starts on the 4th of February and will be every fortnight there after. And so the search for the best student DJ in Nottingham begins...
