A not-an-intro post (I'll do one of those later when I am back fighting fit!)
Those on my personal FB may have already seen, but on Saturday night I was involved in a multicar crash on the M1. We had pulled over onto the hard shoulder to see if we could offer assistance to a car we saw had crashed into the central reservation. We thought we were at a safe distance. We were not.
We got rear ended at a decent speed, but we made it out of that relatively unscathed.
While leaving the car and trying to get behind the crash barrier, another car hit debris and so hit the car that had hit us in the first smash and then moved my car across so that I was momentarily pinned between the car and barrier. (But I am so tough and metal that it bounced off me)
I got taken to A&E, eventually got a scan, and turns out I was VERY lucky. Safe to say that my liver is a super liver and stopped itself from bl**ding out at the scene and if that had happened I wouldn't have made it until the first ambulance arrived.
Safe to say I'm in hospital for a while.
As things stand, July's event is STILL GOING AHEAD, and I will try and make the event over the next week or so, but it may not look as "professional" as normal. Physical posters will hopefully be up around the Sal by the end of the month.
I will try and share band posts and news as and when I can while I'm stuck in hospital, and I will update if there's any news affecting Raise Your Horns.
I am VERY lucky to still be here, so please bear with and especially with this event, please share when and where you can.
All the staff at the hospital are absolutely wonderful and I'm being looked after very well. Getting plenty of cups of tea and I have a great support network of friends, family, and my partner ❤️
