**Facepalm Sunday**
It has come to our attention here at Palm Sunday that there is some confusion linking our name to an already established religious festival. Furthermore, and wouldn't you just know it, but it turns out that particular festival takes place today, leading to many hilarious instances of mistaken tagging and possibly some likes from people who had misunderstood what we were trying to achieve. To clarify, Palm Sunday has no affiliation to any religious group, and any similarity to characters in fiction or real life is entirely coincidental. To further clarify, we should like to make it plain that this mix-up was not intentional, and that we had derived our name not from the aforementioned religious festival, but from the Urban Dictionary definition: "Palm Sunday- when you can't get any s*x on a Sunday, so you have to grease up your palm and have your own Palm Sunday". To finally clarify, we should like to make a clear distinction between our event Palm Sunday, and a Palm Sundae, the practice in certain circles, of ej*******ng into the hand and then performing a high five on an unsuspecting victim.
Next week is Easter Bank Holiday Sunday, the date of Palm Sunday (the event- from 4pm at the Surrey Tavern, come on down) and is not today, a date which merely happens to be Palm Sunday (religious festival).
Hope this clears things up.
Many thanks..
