Six shows, countless conversations, lots of laughter, a few moments of genuine astonishment, and more than a few people leaving with questions they still can’t answer.
Every year I bring The Secret Show back, it evolves a little more. Each performance teaches me something new, and seeing people connect with it, hearing their thoughts afterwards, and reading comments like these reminds me why I keep writing, experimenting and performing.
A huge thank you to everyone who came along, supported the show, recommended it to friends, left a review, or simply took a chance on spending an hour with me. Thank you as well to the incredible volunteers, organisers and everyone behind Barnstaple Theatrefest who make the whole festival possible.
Some of the comments I received genuinely stopped me in my tracks. “Absolutely obsessed.” “Better than Vegas.” “Favourite thing at Fringe.” They’re words I’ll be carrying with me for a long time.
Now it’s time to unpack, reflect, make notes while everything is still fresh, and start asking the question…
