IMPORTANT ANNOUNCEMENT
It’s with a heavy heart that I’m writing this, but this weekend will be the last one for The Office, Mirfield. The doors will be closing after our final night on 10th October.
I’ve had The Office for over seven years, and it’s given me memories I’ll cherish forever. I’ve met some amazing people, created lasting friendships and been through tough times and great times. But, as the saying goes, all things must come to an end.
I will be forever indebted to the venue. It’s what started everything for me, and none of it would have happened without that little spot in the centre of Mirfield. What’s more, I couldn’t have done any of it without the support of the people of Mirfield, young and old. The regulars, the every-now-and-then folk, each and every one of you helped me along in my journey, and I’ll be forever grateful for the part you played.
We’ve held birthday parties, christenings, baby showers, funerals, engagement parties and so much more. We’ve been involved in some way in so many people’s lives, and we’ll be sad to see the end of it all. I just hope we helped create some great memories for you too along the way.
I would also like to thank each and every member of staff I’ve had throughout the years, every contractor and every supplier. Again, without all of you, none of it would have happened.
Lastly I would like to thank all my close friends and family, all the free labour, the help, the support, the turning up at the drop of a hat, I’m eternally grateful. We’ve laughed, we’ve cried, but it’s been one hell of a ride!
We’ll be open as usual this weekend, Friday and Saturday from 7pm, so let’s have one big closing party weekend.
We’ve got b**r left in the barrels, spirits on the shelves, bottles in the fridge and cocktails ready to be shaken. So come down for one last drink on either night, or perhaps both! 😂😂 It would be great to see some of the faces I’ve met over the years.
If you’ve ever been, or you’re planning on coming this weekend, please help one last time and spread the word. The Office WILL be the place to be this weekend, and we WILL be giving the place one hell of a send-off!!
