Fantastic Pleasure and Where Else? are turning 6!
6 years of hard graft, long days, late nights, and legendary parties.
Come down to Where Else? on the 28th September and show your support for two organisations who have always put the community at the forefront of what they do, who have worked tirelessley to make their mark on the culture map of Margate and who have dedicated countless hours to putting on unmisable parties fuelled solely by their unmatchable love of art and music.
Fantastic Pleasure’s ever reliable combination of resident DJs DORIS and the in-house creative team will once again be coming together to create an immersive environment of hypnotic, percussive, driving grooves and surreal, transprotative visual installation.
Taking place in the Where Else? basement - the setting for some of Margate’s most legendary gigs and parties and long term home of Fantastic Pleasure.

The making of the mask

Come and join other islanders in creating masks of wonder and weirdness in preparation of the Samhain sacrifice.

This Samhain, the veil between this life and the next is as thin as it’s going to get - the portal to the Otherworld will be opened and the spirits will be visiting as the sun sets on summer.

Join us in celebration, as we honour the dead and light the Wicker Man to ensure our safe passage through winter and a plentiful harvest.

DORIS - the islanders also known as Scott Humphrey and Jaw-G - will be guiding you through the ceremony from 8 until 2 with music to encourage merriment and glee, whilst the creative villagers behind the immersive installation of previous Fantastic Pleasure experiences and ‘Mordor on the Dancefloor’ will be on hand to make sure the sacrificial offerings are fit for the gods.

Lord Thanetisle has requested that you garb yourself in fanciful disguise - be it animal masks, elaborate outfits or whimsical togs - in order to protect oneself from any evil spirits that may have slipped through the portal. We encourage you to make your costumes from your surroundings of the natural world, be as expressive and free as you like. There may be a reward in store for the best dressed villager.

So come all Thanet Islanders, let us revel in the gift of life and remember… don’t keep the Wicker Man waiting!
