The Manchester Set Dance Club

The Manchester Set Dance Club Our club was formed to promote Irish Social dancing, Ceili, and Set dancing, This is group dancing which is taught at various venues around Manchester.

Promoting Irish Social Dancing and to keep the dancing traditional. Sean nos dancing also taught, as well as ceili and set dancing.

THE IRISH WORLD HERITAGE CENTRE,
IRISH TOWN WAY, off QUEENS ROAD, CHEETHAM HILL, MANCHESTER. M8 0AE IS CLOSED UNTIL JANUARY 2022. We currently do not do any set and ceili classes due to lack of local interest.
Our classes at ST. Mary of the Angels and St. Clare, Elbow Street, Levenshulme, M/cr. M19. 3PY have not been held due to Covid. As restrictions are due to finish on 19/07/2021, we can return to classes as long as we are sensible about social distancing. If anyone is interested in returning on Wednesday nights please contact me and if there is enough interest we can arrange a start date.

Our Manchester International Set Dance festival is provisionally booked at St. Kentigern's, Fallowfield for 23rd and 24th October 2021.

Unfortunately we cannot go back to dancing at present. Everyone is missing the exercise and the fun. If restrictions are eased we will see what can be done.

Due to Covid19 our set dance festival in October 2020 will probably not take place, unless there is a sudden change and it disappears as a couple of predictions stated.

We have missed our weekly classes but everyone needs to stay safe, by staying at home and exercising social distancing.

I hope all are staying safe.

No dancing at St. Mary of the Angels and Saint Clare at present due to Corona virus. Hope it will clear up so everyone can get back to normal living. At present stay home and stay safe.
