WHO WE ARE: "Let's Make This Precious" began at the upstairs room at Gullivers, before progressing to the Star and Garter. After two joyous years there, we moved to Night & Day in 2017. We've had guest DJs as diverse as Kevin Rowland from Dexys and CABBAGE. People have travelled from across the UK to come to this night, and we've been lucky enough to take what we do to Madrid, Berlin and London. Fergal writes about music and culture for publications like the Quietus, Drowned in Sound, Louder Than War and Vive Le Rock. He has interviewed cultural figures like Mark E Smith, Johnny Marr, Sleaford Mods, Dexys and many more. WHAT THEY SAID:
MANCHESTER EVENING NEWS: "A truly cohesive floor-filling experience"
LOUDER THAN WAR: "Joyous, eclectic and impassioned; 'Let’s Make This Precious' is one of the most exciting club nights in Manchester"
WOW247: "And finally, the connoisseur’s choice. Held at the same venue as the hugely influential Smile and Smiths Night clubnights, the eagle-eyed will notice it’s named after a song by Dexys Midnight Runners. No, not that one, a better one. Representing the fanatic’s belief that a band’s best song is never their biggest hit, Let’s Make This Precious is ran by music obsessives for music obsessives. This means a playlist of Northern Soul, Post-Punk and off-kilter pop hits from the likes of Belle & Sebastian, David Bowie and Pulp. People travel all over the country to dance here – it’s that kind of night." First bare your hearts and cleanse your souls, let's try and make this precious
