I used to love going to clubs; I was 16 in 1988 and Madchester was unfolding before me and everyday I was discovering new music via the NME, KFM radio, The Other Side of Midnight and on the dance floor of various clubs. I used to regularly visit the indie nights at Devilles,
42nd Street, The Venue, The Ritz and the Hacienda-the two Daves, Booth and Haslam played a great mix of music both old and
new. They would mix indie and dance, this is before indie-dance became a dirty word. My love of the music from that era never left me and over the years working in different record stores helped to grow my tastes. Fast forward 20 something years; marriage, kids, work, bills etc and after several visits to various clubs where I felt too old, ripped off and out of touch I decided to put a night on in February for me and anyone who fancied it-it sold in January! It's a mix of the kind of music you'll find on 6music, XFM and Absolute 80s. All ages are welcome- Temptation and Pretty In Pink take place at irregular intervals in different venues.
