Madeline Goldstein has already created a strong lore and presence revolving around the release. “My
Own Design” has been praised as “...beautiful and affecting in equal measure, a pop hymn for the
anxious mind trying to keep its composure under the spotlight’s heat,” says Alice Teeple of
Post-Punk.com. This single was also named second best single of 2025 by the site, and prior single
“1996 Expectations” named sixth best single of 2024. Goldstein spent most of 2025 touring frenetically,
bringing anticipation to the release and testing her new material on international audiences, with two
back-to-back European tours.The response has been growing fan base around the globe, and an
established spot among the best in current dark wave, new wave and beyond.

After a masterful collaboration on the Other World EP, Goldstein enlisted the help of producer Matia Simovich once again to build upon the musical world she created. They immediately returned to the studio and started what would become two years of work and process, encompassing almost five years of Goldstein’s past song writing. What resulted is Speaking To The Body, a 10-song record encompassing all parts of Goldstein’s solo song writing career, with some tracks coming forth from the shadows of as far back as 2020, while others were born spontaneously at Infinite Power Studios in real-time.
