We set the standards for ourselves.

Our relationship with everyone else starts with our relationship with ourselves.

Treat yourself like you’re a VIP. You are! You’re special. You’re important. You matter. It’s often hard when you’re a born giver, when you want and sometimes need to keep everyone else happy first but then find yourself depleted. Give YOUR needs, goals and desires first priority. Put your oxygen mask on first. Breathe! And you’ll find the universe reflects back that love and treats you exactly how you should be treated - like the Queen you are!

I’m currently studying the Divine Feminine and reading up on Goddesses!

I’m finding my dance fitness classes move my energy to a higher vibration and I feel called to invoke allllll of the Goddesses within!

But I’m a practical magic kind of a gal! So I’m learning to do it in an everyday way.

Here’s how to be a Goddess on a Tuesday morning!

🩷Treat yourself like you’re special

Spoiler! You are! Get yourself flowers and drink out of a lovely cup. Go and get a new one today AND a new notebook. Goddess orders! Try different perfumes. Put yourself in beautiful surroundings. Get a massage and indulge in luxurious oils and creams. Remember YOU are the special occasion!

🩷 Ritualise everything!

Create a ritual that serves you and your mind - meditate, write, move your body, sit still and peacefully with a cup of tea (remember to make a wish a stir your tea clockwise for something you want). Get the lighting right. Go and be with the sea or the plants or with an animal. Make date night or girls’ night a regular thing.

🩷 Show devotion to yourself

Speak to yourself with awe and love. Commit to your own health and energy. Feast on the good foods! Think Goddess! Think sexy! I’ve got a craving for figs and honey. 🍯
Move your body in a way you love and commit to that time for yourself throughout your week.

🩷 Know your worth

Be selective with your time and attention. Give amazing value and charge your worth at work. Goddesses aren’t overlooked in business or life! Remember you are already worthy. You are a high worth woman. No need to wait for validation or praise. DIY!

🩷 Be Be-you-tiful!

Find a style that makes you feel amazing! Bring beauty into the every day - treat yourself to cosmetics, clothes, art, interior design and anything that brings out the best in you. Beauty is how you feel.

🩷 Stay close to your desires

Every morning, ask yourself: what I do I want? What would delight me? What would make me feel more alive! Invoke the thunderstorms and the relationships and the money and the THING you’re thinking of right now!

🩷 Get amazing at receiving!

We know that you are already an incredible giver and the best people pleaser ever! Now, welcome compliments, money, treats, love, friendship, support, help and especially magical gifts from the universe!

Go get it Goddess!

3/3 energy:
💫 Ideas stop living only in your head and start asking for your attention. 💫

Nothing needs to be decided today.
Just notice what feels closer than it did before.

⭐️ Nearly a year after diagnosis of Idiopathic Dilated Cardiomyopathy and I’m reclining in a hospital gown, on the medical bed, having an echocardiogram. The technician is lovely. I ask her - “what will change in my life?”. She replies - “Nothing, you’ll just have to notice yourself, more than you did before”. ⭐️

Do you ever get the sense that some things that people say to you are deeper messages? I definitely feel it when they are.

As a PR professional, I had specialised in getting people noticed for years. As a people-pleaser, I’d noticed how to make other people happy and as an intuitive coach, I’d noticed how other people really feel. But maybe, I’d neglected noticing myself. It feels as though this is my life’s work, for me and in service to others - the art of being noticed and the revolutionary act of noticing ourselves.

We often look outwards and check what other people are doing, especially on socials but generally amongst our peers. We are sometimes easy-going types and leave it to somebody else to make decisions about our lives from the everyday to the major choices and we sometimes numb ourselves out with alcohol, food, drugs or any number of addictions to stop ourselves noticing how we really feel - self-soothing ourselves in to feeling something other than what we are.

So let’s begin our work:

⭐️ Notice what brings you alive,
⭐️ Notice what your body needs.
⭐️ Notice how your work makes you feel.
⭐️ Notice how your partner and friends make you feel.
⭐️ Notice how good you feel about yourself.
⭐️ Notice what you want to attract.
⭐️ Notice what you want to fall away.

It’s only then that real transformation can happen.

Ask me about one-off powerful coaching sessions or big, life-changing coaching packages with me.

Small steps; even a little meander in the wrong direction is acceptable on what is always a journey - a grand adventure! I’m studying the Law of Attraction right now and re-reading all the earliest books and also The Secret. 🤫 One of ‘the secrets’ is to walk towards the thing you most want and if you do - the thing you most want will be magnetically drawn to you too. But you can’t just sit there and wish for it. You have to take small actions; you have to see it and feel it - you have to believe it before you see it. Lyndsey ⭐️❤️

Self-Care Sunday

I’m on a mission to upgrade my self-care this year. I’ve always been a fan of a spa, the occasional facial, mani-pedi, and massage but you know, I think I can do better!

I’ve started looking at my menstrual cycle and seeing where I can improve my nutrition especially round about now (day 26 of 28 for your info!) when mostly I want to crawl into a cave with an endless supply of red meat and carbs! I’m also looking at easy ways to honour my cycle in doable ways. I haven’t got the time or energy for red tents and cacao ceremonies, though I’d definitely like to try those out! I’m following a programme. I’ve just self-administered a 10 minute reflexology session to ease my irritability - you may approach me now! And there’s meditation and Pilates, all achievable in 10 minute chunks of time. I’m using an app called ‘Moody’. It comes recommended by me for bitesize self-care. I also highly recommend my sparkle sister, Sally Beaton. Follow her on Instagram and definitely get her book ‘Get Your Sparkle Back’ and also Nicki Williams’ book ‘It’s Not You, it’s Your Hormones’ - informative and engaging. I’m totally getting why I have the outlook I do at certain points of the month; I guess things I’d understood naturally anyway but now I try and make the most of those times - being more sociable and active when I’m ovulating and being okay with being more reflective and insular the week before my period. It’s better than ignoring it which I think was the message when we were growing up. Perhaps I shouldn’t have waited until my forties to go with the flow, as it were.

And I’m trying to carve out more time for myself and the things that bring me joy as well as building my dreams, step by step. I’m going easier on myself; forgiving myself, being kinder to myself and loving myself. I’m also celebrating the things that I’ve achieved. I’m nine years alcohol-free this year; I’ve built a buoyant business that I can run around looking after my scrumptious son and I’m realising some of the dreams I’ve had for years. That’s what self-care is too, right?

Would love to hear some tips from some of you self-care Queens!

I wrote this in my January Substack -

“I’ve been taking stock - looking at my life. What happens now? What do you do when you’re middle aged? Is it even possible to make the second act more fabulous than the first? The first contains career highlights, the firmer body, and exciting travel. I felt a surge of competitive excitement - with my younger self!”

I meant it AND ever since then I KEEP SEEING examples of women in their 50s and 60s (let’s call them my big sisters’) doing incredible things, inspiring me, showing me the way. Isn’t the Universe marvellous like a great big search engine, showing us the things we want to see, giving us what we focus on!?

My February post is up on Thursday (yes January really is coming to a close now) and it’s a vulnerable, very honest, doozy!
