Dark Room is a concept night dedicated to the aesthetics and sounds of East London’s contemporary alternative underground scene. Each edition brings together a curated lineup of boundary-pushing DJs, performers, and hosts — from local innovators to international guests — creating a space where music, fashion, and subculture converge. The sound journey flows through Italo, dark disco, electro, new wave, EBM, and techno — capturing the pulse of the scene as it evolves.

Next Saturday, 27th June, Dark Room x NagNagNag returns with two birthday celebrations as we celebrate both Jonny Slut and Dave Darcy. 🎈

Dave Darcy Edmond has been supporting the alternative underground scene since the early 1980s. He is the founder of the iconic Pure S*x brand and has been a familiar face on the scene for decades. Dave is also one of Dark Room’s official hosts and a valued part of our club family.

We can’t wait to celebrate this special occasion together.

We’re excited to celebrate Jonny Slut’s birthday. A true icon of the goth and electroclash scene, Jonny has been a visionary, style icon and cultural force for decades. From the early days of Specimen and the legendary Batcave through to NagNagNag, he has always been ahead of his time. We can’t wait to celebrate with him, alongside a special DJ set from Boy George.

For this event, we take over the full venue with 3 rooms of music plus a dedicated Karaoke Room.

Once again, Slimelight joins forces with Torture Garden and Dark Room for a full middle floor DJs takeover, merging their darkest and boldest energies into one space.

Expect cutting-edge sound, full-scale TG production, dedicated seating areas, custom visuals, and an exclusive photo booth.
