That we must announce the closure of Near & Far Peckham. We have been part of the community since it opened in 2017 and had expected to be part of its long term future, but sadly this is not to be. In the last few days, despite months of negotiations, and with only a few days until our lease ends, it has become apparent that an agreement cannot be reached. Our last day of trading will be this Sunday, 18th June.
To say this is sudden and truly devastating is an understatement. This was not a choice we would have made had there been any other option.
We have spent the last 5 years pouring our hearts and souls into this site and have loved being part of the Peckham community, seeing this once derelict car park transformed into an award winning space which hosted many parties, celebrations, festivals and events and created so many memories. We cannot thank our team, customers, colleagues, DJs, fellow business owners, suppliers, investors (and many others) enough for all of the support you have shown us over the years, especially during the pandemic.
We will be contacting everyone who will be affected by our closing as soon as possible, but please bear with us. This situation has evolved rapidly and our priority in the next few days is to ensure that we look after our team and customers.
At this stage, we must believe that things happen for a reason and that we will find another site very soon. Please watch this space.
