Providing a safe-haven from cliché, stereotype and GaGa, POKE is an independently-run club night, originating in Newcastle, that recognizes the oft-ignored truth that many gay guys and girls CAN and DO appreciate music of a rather less commercial bent. (you get the idea). (And, though predominantly a gay night, our doors are open to anyone that appreciates what we play. All we ask is that you don't be a twat).
