Our Story

We started this night in 2008 after we realised there was nothing that catered for people who had an appreciation of African and Afrofusion culture. BANTU is all about People, Culture & Music. From developing concepts to planning events and throwing fantastic parties BANTU is about bringing people together, celebrating culture and enjoying music. Established in October 2008 BANTU Fridays, the firstborn of “the BANTU Group” project family, came about from our desire for a regular club event catering for those who love Africa – its music, food, landscape, people, culture – and anyone who just wants to have a good time, in a quality venue, surrounded by fun loving friendly people. Held every first Saturday of the month BANTU is still London’s hottest “AfroWestern” fusion club night. BANTU is always hosted at one of London’s top City venues and attracts a wide range of professionals ( 21 - 55) from diverse backgrounds. Every BANTU includes segments dedicated to a selection of contemporary African music not to be matched anywhere in London along with the best selection of Old Skool, and the latest Hip Hop and R&B.
