New Globe Open Mic

Maybe you don't know. If so, that's cool no worries. We're having a little get together at the New Globe. No bad vibes, no door staff, no £6 pints of lager (shouts out to Shoreditch Blues Kitchen). There's gonna be some microphones and some guitars knocking about and if you know how you can jump up on the "stage" and pluck one out for all to hear. Get down at nine whether you want to play or hear or sing along, or even if you just fancy a swift half in good company with a great live soundtrack. Get down at 9 and go respectfully wild at The New Globe Open Mic Night.

From Aldgate East to the Bow Flyover, Limehouse basin to Dalston Junction; let us all converge on the New Globe with good cheer and loud voices tonight from 9:30 'til the bar closes. Dust off that acoustic in your bedroom, it'll never get the girls if the strings are unplucked. Bring your trumpets, bring your drums, bring your unwashed masses and let them take their slot and prove their worth. Eat a hearty fried chicken dinner, for tonight we dine on tasty licks at the table of the East End's finest in live entertainment.

Oh oh oh open mic this Saturday in the night time at the New Globe. Put on your summer bonnet and come get your name down for a slot, we've got all the guitars and late night licenses required to have a merry old time of it. And if you can't do, then drink and treat yourself to a little musical interlude to this long, hot month of July.

You can go to Shoreditch again and get mugged off for a double Vodka in 93 Feet East, you can go into central and get mugged off for a single anything or you can stay in your room and pretend you're not watching the same episode of Game of Thrones again. Or you can get out of your East London flat's security gate and do your thing, playing or drinking or falling out at the New Globe from now til 2 in the a.m. at the New Globe Open Mic. STUDENTS,

Ground isn't gonna give you 2 Skittle Bombs for a cheeky fiver, the library wardens aren't gonna serenade you with lilting acousticness and your exams aren't gonna be going late into the night when you've had one too many and you want to hear Wonderwall so bad even though you know in your heart that it's sh*te.

But the New Globe Open Mic Night will.

We know it's exam term, but you 16th Century Slavic Hat-making seminar leader isn't gonna know if you sneak away from your desk fortress behind the Late Modern Post-Modernism section in the libray for a night of musical relief and alcoholic comfort.
