The fabulous retro Rivoli Ballroom is the venue for our regular monthly jive nights with a great live band, DJs filling in and a beginners’ jive lesson to kick the evening into swing. Our ever-popular Saturday nights have a lively buzz, great jive, swing and original R&B music and everyone from 18 to 80 taking to the floor! Jive Party is for beginners and experts alike, at The Rivoli, Lewisham in
London. It’s usually, but not always, on the 3rd Saturday in the month. Jive Party is run by dance enthusiasts who book the venue and the bands, teach jive, promote and organise the nights; the events are independent of The Rivoli. Prior to moving to The Rivoli, Jive Parties were held at Leicester Square’s Notre Dame Hall, which is now a theatre. The Rivoli is a totally unique, Grade II-listed venue that’s perfect for dancing to live music. The large maple sprung dancefloor is lit by chandeliers, glitter balls and over-sized chinese lantens. You may have seen it already as a backdrop in countless photo-shoots, pop videos and feature films.
