Disco 2000 - Walthamstow

Disco 2000 - Walthamstow Disco 2000 is an old-school indie night in Walthamstow with cheap beer and crackly old vinyl. We are parents. We don't get out much. Thus Disco 2000 was born.

We wanted a club where we could go out and dance without schlepping all the way into town. We didn't want to stay out until 3 a.m. because the kids will still be there in the morning when we're hungover. We'd both run indie clubs back in the 1990s and Mikki still had all her records. We asked local parents if they were interested, about 1000 of them said yes. It really was a case of "Build it and

they will come." Now in our 8th year and planning to carry on for as long as we're still enojoying it. All proceeds go to local charity Eat or Heat, so you can feel good about yourself while you're neglecting your kids.
