After serving 18 months of pandemic-inspired solitary confinement, the restrictions continue to be eased and if you listen carefully you'll hear the crescendo of the massive sigh of relief emanating from musicians and performers all over the gaff.. I was actually getting quite desperate and thinking that I'm now hardcore because know what a prison term feels like..... I could consider turning to a life of crime because I've just completed an 18-month stretch and come out of it with our sanity intact so what should it be, a bank or post office job? Or one that you don't need to leave home to execute...Wanna join up with me to research how to make some quick dosh from a likkle cyber-crime? Well, can't explain just how much I'm looking fwd to getting back to work now that indoor venues have been given the green light to open up their doors to the general public...I've missed performing for you so much.... I've spent much of the pandemic period in graveyards playing for small gatherings saying a final goodbye to their loved ones., it's time to dust off your glad rags and see how we can make the new normalcy work for us. So, here we are waiting for our phones to start ringing off non-stop with offers of fat well-paid gigs...lol.....Hope to see y'all out there for long hugs, and some new style distanced dancing, (no more rub up), but lots of enjoyable nice times..lol...

I'm Ray Carless the saxophonist here seen performing a musical tribute and utilizing 'We SHALL OVERCOME' the traditional protest song and anthem of the civil rights movement.

I'm dedicating this performance to George's memory on the eve of his premature committal to his final resting place. It's a very sad time for most of us, and my thoughts and sympathies are with his family and the millions of people affected by his brutal killing.

Our grandparents and parents suffered as they fought for their voices to be heard. History is repeating itself again. Let us stop to take a breath, and do our best NOT to pass this sad state of affairs of injustice and inequality on to our children and grandchildren.

My heart is full of joy now that our voices are being heard and supported by the masses.
But the battle is not yet won, we shouldn't stop protesting until we eradicate racism, inequality, and injustice from every corner of the globe.

Together we can make a lasting change...
Let us all come together to use this opportunity to get our messages of peace heard.

This was the 2nd broadcast from my where my intention was to bring joy a comfort to our neighbors. This was remuneration for using their 'common sense' over the week (as instructed by our U.K. Government), delivering clemency from the confines and restrictions of the current lockdown laws.

We're not lawless community, we follow the guidelines as best as possible, but we also look forward to this social 'happening' where we're able to stand outside our front doors, join in the collective 'Clapping' for the NHS', and hang out and enjoy the entertainment safely (as recommended by our Government').

Keep your eyes peeled because I may have to take this a step further and consider touring this session around the various neighborhoods if the clubs and venues don't open up soon...lol..


I can't foresee an early end to this crisis, particularly for us entertainers. The unsightly and deadly COVID VIRUS has had a huge impact on our industry and on us musicians and I can't see anything changing for us any time soon. We have no option but to keep going, keep the wolves from the door, stave off hunger, and consider what the future holds for us.

Musicians and artists all over the planet have few options (particularly at this ripe old age) but to continue to practice our craft within our chosen creative discipline of music.

I appreciate all of your lovely messages of appreciation, and won't stop offering entertaining live music for you to enjoy.
