All hail the first cocktail to be made in the bar for 10 MONTHS!

We took a break from refurbishment to test out the new menu. It's all under wraps for now but trust us, its been worth the wait!

The pack is full and we are nearly ready to deal. ♦️♠️♥️♣️

Our bar looks poetic even when its a building site. Re-opening is within touching distance. We have (for the first time in 8 months) ordered drinks for the bar from 🍾

As things are starting to ease up we're really looking forward to the prospect of opening, in the meantime we wanted to shout out to our neighbours Cobble Lane Cured for continuing to sell their incredible British charcuterie (check out their online store, perfect for picnics and upgrading weekend snacking!). Once things have got back to ‘normal’ in whatever shape that might be, we’re happy to say we'll be serving their delicious meats alongside our mixed drinks. If there’s one thing we can all agree on it is the value of friends and neighbours. We’ll get through this and see you all soon for a very cold one 🍻

We’re shaking up a Martini in honour of Winston Churchill today , who famously declared that “the only way to make a great Martini is with ice cold gin!” A man of great strength and reputation for a hearty tipple or two!

Try experimenting with yours at home and take inspiration from our twist on the classic, ‘The Dirty Yuzu Martini’, by adding a dash of Yuzu juice and a touch of olive oil to your recipe (gin/vodka/vermouth...your choice) sounds weird, tastes delicious....Cheers! 🍸🍸

We can’t stock and serve cocktails and our shelves are empty, but we remain part of the community and our team remains ready to serve that community. It‘s a small gesture but we can access toilet paper through our supplier, so we have 500 rolls here ready to be sold in small quantities only, at cost price for those in need.
