1.⁠ ⁠Phones connected throughout the bar. A pandemic relic we decided was too good to bin.

2.⁠ ⁠A ridiculous amount of good booze, because great drinks don’t make themselves.

3.⁠ ⁠Ask for Angela Keeping our customers safe. Always!

4 & 5. Iconic black & white film photography.

6.⁠ ⁠DJ decks. The same ones that have been spinning old-school hip hop since back in the day.

We took to the streets with one of our best sellers to introduce the people of Lincoln to their new favourite cocktail. What unfolded was chaotic, slightly scary, and very chocolatey.

Turns out you lot don't mess around when Nutella’s involved. Lesson learned.

Ten years ago, we started something that's since gone worldwide.

In 2016, Strait & Narrow became the first venue anywhere to introduce Ask For Angela - a simple phrase that gives anyone a quiet, safe way to ask for help if they feel unsafe or unsure on a night out. A decade on, that same phrase has been used in real moments, on real nights, by real people who needed it.

This week the BBC's The One Show came back to sit down with us and talk through where it started, the difference it's made, and why we've never stopped asking for Angela.

If your venue hasn't introduced it yet, our answer is simple: what are you waiting for? It costs nothing and it could mean everything.
